That's not what Ben Shapiro said in his book Primetime Propaganda, where I saw it recommended. I reckon you don't want this thread to turn "political", and I don't either, but it is undeniable that the show does lean in a certain direction: it's hardly 'centered'. The ridicule and comical critique it pointed at many cultural aspects enshrined by the Links is one reason I love it.

See?

Just to throw in my $.02, I felt like the humor used in the show was done in a good-natured way, so even conservatives enjoyed it. I can't say the same thing about shows today, 90% of which I refuse to watch.

(For reference, and without being too political, I am, or at least was, pretty much a centerist by 90s standards. Today, I'm a raving ***** *********** ****** ****, somewhere right of B*****M********. The fact that this happened without me changing any of my views is puzzling to me.)

Precisely what happened to me, although I was never in the centre. I am a moderate, but since they started and kept moving the centre links, I'm now seen as extreme (which I ain't).

Yeah, I also refuse to watch most of current offerings. I don't even have or want cable. And screw Netflix.

That's why I jumped at the suggestion of King of the Hill in the works I mentioned above. For the most part, I'm still watching reruns (DVDs) of Inspector Gadget and Cats and Co.

I'm not sure what the difference is between centrist and moderate. I guess I'm just conservative on some things and liberal on others. I don't watch Netflix except for Norsemen and Toast of London. I'm about to cancel HBO due to both lack of watchable new content and the fact that they made Lovecraft Country. The person responsible for that show should be in prison.

That's the difference, mate: I lean same way in all things. ➡ ?

Hmm, going through my disc-case I see I have the whole series of The Legend of Prince Valiant too. ?

The lady who played Lou Anne and Bobby died a tragic death.. She would be hard to replace, I tell you what
Didn't know about that. Saw the whiskypedia page on her just now: sad, really.

I've always wondered how truly it reflects life in Texas. ?

Oh, and were there any pipes in the show? I can't remember off the top of my head now.
