I think my favorite beer is by Hovels, haven’t seen it around recently... the only reason I buy American microbrews is some are high in alcohol, 10% for $2.50 is a pretty cheap way to get drunk.
I don't really drink anymore, but when I did and I didn't have much money, a four pack of 211 steel reserve tall boys did the trick. I think like only 3 something for 4 lol. Man it tasted like shit though.

I’m trying to cut it off but not easy... I remember having a layover in Munich once and all these guys in suits were having beers and weisswurst for breakfast. Also, not sure if they still do but the airport had these funny glass enclosures inside for people to smoke, they looked like smoke filled greenhouses.

Getting back on topic: has anyone tried the dark fired cherry? I believe he said it’s his top selling blend.

DFC is a decent aro, not over the top with fake cherry like most aros, although the tin note does reek of it, the smoke itself is balanced by the DF. I like the sweet muffin a little better though, and Burlier Morning Pipe (Or burley morning pipe is thats all thats up) is still my favorite aro of his.

That being said, Verge Engine Overdrive is still my favorite blend he makes. Live Wire is a good one for Dark Birdseye fans as well.

I’m on the east coast and checked the site just out of curiosity around 8am, this guy really get some an early start, didn’t see any porkchops and applefrass or ironic slices but the Mycroft and Wessex dark flake was still available.

I agree completely. To be honest when I saw that he had stickers available I thought, "great I wonder how much those are going to be?"

I wasn't planning on getting a label, since their free, why not? I probably won't use it on a jar though.
You don't have to peel the sticker, just cut it to size and placed in inside the jar lid and your good to go. I like the stickers they are a nice added touch. I am fan for sure, sometimes sleeping with one eye on the refresh button...

Live wire is like dark birds eye lite and citrus.

I visited Germany in 2008 and I remember those boxes, I thought they were funny but also thought they were a decent solution to giving smokers some freedom. I used them a couple times and the air circulation in there was pretty good, it was a little awkward when someone else came in, not a ton of room in there, like a smoking elevator. Did you try one out while you were there?

I’ve also tried the DFC, it’s quite good. I found @alaskanpiper ‘s description pretty dead on. It’s lightly flavored enough that it’s there but not the only flavor, and to me it was a nice “not fake” type of flavor, it gets a nice wood smoke bbq flavor at the end and I enjoyed that. It got the wife seal of “That one smells really nice!” Approval so that’s good to! Haha

I agree, I didn’t smoke at the time but even then I thought it was a fair solution, wonder if pipes would be allowed...

I only ordered a tin of Wessex but hope to check out the DFC one day.

Ok, needed some balls jars prior to opening the pork chops and apple sauce that was bursting with sweetness and then I opened River of deceit and it smelled almost exactly the same!!! I have not smoked either yet but tin notes are so darn similar that I was afraid to put down the cap and getting confused!

I enjoyed the Jupiter slices and have found that it pairs very very well with VA/pers for me. The Byron slices are vingary and caused a bit of tongue bite, which may be due to drying time.

Live wire, that could have been better named as lime wire is good as I enjoy a good shag...I means who doesn't! That one sits below the Wilke blood red Lizzie, which has a more strawberry/orange sweetness to me and is a favorite for sure.

Just opened my River of Deceit today and was surprised by the sweetness, though it might be an aromatic for a second, got the first bowl pack and waiting for after dinner to light up!

Pork chops and apple sauce was pretty tasty but it is sweet! It's good and a surprise for me coming From mostly smoking xxdarkflake, St James mixture, or St James flake. I totally would of said it was an aromatic in a blind taste test, but it smoked great and a bonus was the lack of complaints from the wife/kids dept!! So it's a winner there for sure! I will smoke the river of deceit tommorow to compare.

Have you had his Verge Engine Overdrive? How do the Chops compare to that one? I wasn't tempted by another VA/Per but that's sounding like it might be more up my alley than the VEO...
