It's not always a case of completely subbing out Perique with dark fired to lessen manufacturing costs. It's more often cutting the Perique with dark fired. Labels are not always complete with regard to listing ingredients.Are these particular blenders subbing perique while still listing perique as a constituent ingredient? That would be quite deceptive. Am I to doubt every VaPer I happen upon now? Guess it throws some points in laudisis favor since they still have ready access to personal Louisiana perique crops
As far as I know, La Poche and Percy Martin are still going strong, so Perique's available. That's not the issue.
