For almost forty years, I've lived the life of Reilly doing exactly what I've wanted to do, helping other people get out of legal problems and avoiding legal problems. I'm privileged and blessed beyond my wildest dreams were when I was a kid, driving the biggest American made cars, wearing a different tailor made suit every day, I drink endless cups of good black coffee, and I've got so many beautiful Star Grade Lees I don't even stop to count them. I have so much tobacco I'd guess I'd take ten years or more smoking up what I have already. The woman of my dreams has chased me back into my office so she and my legal assistant can finish up some paperwork for me. For pleasure, I can travel to my farm that's been in my family since 1876.
My only regret is, I really shouldn't have started smoking. It might kill me, and I'd like to enjoy another thirty or so years on this earth. But I've been smoking for fifty years, and maybe I can squeeze out another thirty or so.
If I could go back to when I was fourteen, I'd have known I'd become a slave to a bad habit I dearly love, and maybe I wouldn't have started. Or maybe I would have. When I was fourteen I think I thought I was smarter then, than I am now.
But at my age, I've got no reason to quit smoking. Eventually I'll have to quit when I die, and it's my only bad habit until then.
How about you? Why don't you quit?
Time for a song, of course:
