The vast majority of people here seem to be very nice people. My favorites are among those I've met. @cosmicfolklore @gamzultovah @condorlover1 @cigrmaster Hopefully, the Chicago Pipe Show can happen in 2022 and I can meet many more. I'd really like to have lunch with @BROBS so he could watch me eat a big medium rare steak while I watch him munch on a head of lettuce.

I don't own a Barliing. I'm not sure I've ever seen a Barling in person. I'm not planning to buy a Barling. However, I always enjoy reading sable' about his Barlings and Barlings in general, a true savant of Barlings at work. Also, his inside knowledge of the movie business; I suspect him of voting on the Oscars. I also much enjoy reading about cats, dogs, moose, sugar cane, cigars, and catastrophic pipe damage. Keep on keeping on ... or as we said in the sixties, Write On.

When I became a member of the Academy I called my folks to tell them the news.
“Oh!” my Mother said, “Now you can vote on the Oscars!”

I hate our Samsung refrigerator. It’s design is so stupid it’s unbelievable. I can’t wait until we need a new one.

Like a lot of home appliances these days, the Samsung fridges look spectacular, but the inner workings are cheap, poorly designed crap. The air circulation is abysmal, and it doesn'y have to be that way, it just needs to be designed for a fan that moves 2-3 times more air. That would prevent the ice build-ups that plague their units. Our next fridge is a true commercial unit.

I recently received a package of pipe tobacco from @marconi and @Birddog66 to smoke in my clay pipes - much appreciated!
I wore my redcoat uniform when I went to the Wellington Monument at Baslow Edge to pay tribute to him and smoke a clay - I really enjoyed myself and my clay pipe of baccy went down very well!
