Thanks for posting these shanez. Love the pipes too.
Here's one of my favorites.
That's an excellent story but you're going to need several pipes to make it through.

I remember when John Carpenter's "The Thing" came out. Even though it was a remake itself you could clearly see the influence of this story. As it turns out, Mr. Carpenter is a big fan of Lovecraft.

I was going to save this one for another night but it feels more appropriate now since it clearly ties into "At The Mountains Of Madness":

It's a beautiful 74 degree Saturday night here in Vegas and perfect for what I have in mind.

Tonight's going to be a mix of things. Starting with some C&D Dreams of Kadath in a pipe called Mermaid by Jan Symon Golowacz (this pipe is from fishnbanjo's estate) and a glass of Jura Journey Scotch:

Starting with a couple of short but excellent classic stories:

Switching gears, going to have a little tasting of Grangestone bourbon, rum, and sherry cask Scotch I picked up earlier today. Pairing with some C&D From Beyond, which I find goes very well with Scotch, in an unknown gourd calabash.

I think the calabash deserves a story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, although not a Sherlock Holmes story:

Well it finally happened. It's 66 degrees and I put on a sweater. It's not really cold enough to cause a shiver but I like to be comfy.

Starting tonight with some SG Sam's Flake in a flying saucer by Aleksic Dragomir and a glass of AE dor 1989 Vintage Grande Champagne Cognac:

And a short, but rather appalling, tale:

Here's a great, great story that goes well with a pipe. It's good for pairing with a flake or pipe with a larger chamber as it's about an hour long. Actually it's about 2 guys hunting plans that get changed but you know what I mean.

Load your pipe with something you really like, sit back, relax, and enjoy:

I've really enjoyed the readings of "The Raven" and the tale of the "Terribly Strange Pumpkin," and with satisfaction at the other dozen in the queue. Thank you for posting them! I will be listening.

I have to hand it to the Pumpkin's author for the incomplete ending, making me devise my own. I've added it to my favorite incomplete endings, as in "Once Upon a Time in America" and "The Sopranos."

I love watching spooky "real" videos on youtube. Its funny watching people going looking for ghosts and then screaming like schoolgirls at the slightest noise.

74 degrees tonight but very comfortable with a sweater.

Starting the night with some SG Cabbie's Mixture in a skull with snake meer by Eyup Sabri accompanied by probably my favorite Cognac which is Navarre Souvenir Imperial Grande Champagne:

Here's a great scary story where a tobacco pipe is heavily featured to the point you might even consider it the hero of the tale:

A chilly 65 degrees tonight.

Enjoying some Dunhill 3 Year Matured Virginia I jarred a few years ago in a meer by S. Yanik and working through a Grangestone whisky sampler:

It's a gorgeous 77 degrees tonight and a perfect time for the inaugural smoke of my scarecrow meer by S Yanik.

Enjoying some Capstan Gold Flake with a glass of Derringer Rabbit Hole Bourbon:

And a great, curious, and interesting story to go with it. Be careful what you say, you never know who may be listening, even the cat:
