He's a first rate musician, a pro-level software engineer, a pro-level chef, a pro-level photographer, an electronics engineer/designer, a wine expert, a trained race car driver, speaks several languages, writes professionally, and on and on. All in addition to blending pipe tobacco and having a family to look after.
Sounds like he could use a sabbatical.

Would you all just shut up about the man. . .please. It's one thing for rumor and conjecture to spawn a dozen threads about McClelland. Tobacco is a commodity, and not knowing much it was not possible for us to get too far into the Mcneils business. But this is different, about a real man who does not care for our society. There's something wrong about all this questioning and musing about a man who is saying nothing. As he is saying nothing, why are we saying anything?

I was just hoping for some enlightened words from the man himself, that's all.
Maybe if you....

So if we build a runway he will land on it. We're up to about 65 posts to this thread with no landing yet.

He's one of those guys whose purpose in life is to learn new stuff and do new stuff. It's like an information-gathering form of OCD. It's relentless.

Hey, we're all busy people. It wouldn't be too much to ask to pop in once in awhile......... just to say hi, or whatever. I'm a huge GLP tobacco fan, I know the man is busy, as am I...... I can manage a post once a week or so, would love to see Greg stop by once in a while.........

Google “cargo cult”.

Or, for a far less accurate, but far more entertaining portrayal, read Christopher Moore's, "Island of the Sequined Love Nun."
I wondered about Greg some time ago and with comments on another thread I read, made some baseless/erroneous assumptions. My face was red. Some of Greg's blends are among my favorites and I'm glad he's still around - even if infrequently.

Big news! GLP has been found at his heretofore secret sabbatical hideaway by a throng of devoted followers and he’s about to deliver a message!
