I personally will buy tobacco wrapped in newspaper. It's only dried leaf for goodness sake.

Speaking of wrapping in newspaper, when I lived in New Zealand for a short while, the first time I had Fish & Chips at a small take out shop, they wrapped the Fish & Chips in newspaper, and I thought it really odd to have my food wrapped in a newspaper... LOL...

P.S. Sorry for going Off Topic....

One of my greatest moments of being a teenager was grabbing a handful of chips from the pile only to uncover a picture of Janet Jackson’s breast at the super bowl performance.

I know a guy who was just starting out his career as a musician and once he also ate a piece of fish off his face.

I miss those days. The food tasted better. Now they use a clean piece a parchment paper as the first wrap before getting the weekend herald out.

I hear you, but, tins are ruined with warning labels and once you open the tin it goes in a jar, so who cares about the plastic lid.

Unless you smoke through a tin and keep it in said container with it’s plastic lid.
Which I often do. When I'm going to enjoy some McClelland I aerate it before smoking to reduce the vinegar preservative so that I can enjoy the fine Virginias. I'll generally pop the tin a week or more before smoking and pop the plastic lid for a couple of minutes a day. The tobacco really opens up.

If plastic lids are a turn off, there are plenty of tins to enjoy. To each his own.

I import my tins from the States. So far no warning labels. I also use the open tin to dry the tobacco for a bit before a smoke and to catch the bits that fall as I'm filling the pipe.
