As with tobacco, I prefer a variety. My favorite tends to be a minimally bent pot (ala Savinelli #122) but, I could not envision pipe smoking without a straight billiard (preferably with a saddle bit).

One shape for life? In briar? The Dunhill LBS shape, tapered bit, hands down--as much for the way they handle, as for the way they look. Probably the influence of too many '30s and '40s movies, a lifetime addiction.
