With only one finish type, what would it be?
For me it would definitely Sandblasted Canadian

No question on this one: The classic Savinelli 320 shape, also sometimes called the "Author". It is that one pipe that just feels RIGHT to me. Finish? Hard to say, I own three rusticated and hope to add a smooth to the collection sometime soon.

Sort of a cop out answer but bulldog. Squat 1/8 bent dark blast ring Rhodie if I had to be super specific.

Good question. I'm with Guhrillastile - I do love the Bulldog / Rhodesian shape whether straight or bent, round or diamond shank. Add a nice smooth finish (with some nice grain if possible) and I'll be a happy smoker! :puffy:
PS although the Author shape is nice too, if I was allowed a second choice. :)

Wow... and I was certain I would be the only one to go with a Bulldog.

Sadly, that is NOT my Dunny.

I couldn't choose :-( too many great ones ;-)
Bulls, Rhodies, Dublins, Bent And Straight Billiards, Zulu, Cutty,

Pokers, Eggs & Apples.... all seem to be in my normal

rotations / in all finishes as well ;-) blasts, rusticated and smooths
I guess being the great pipers we are...we pride ourselves on

creativity and pushing the limits or what a "standard" would be ;-)

Despite the challenges that a really full bent has, I do love the look of an oompaul, probably the most bent pipe without it being custom made
My dunhill Oompaul polished is beautiful, but getting a pipe cleaner through is frustrating

A Liverpool or Canadian with a smooth finish me thinks. The two are similar enough that I could live with either.

Classic billiard. I have an affinity for the 1940s. I like the styles, furniture, clothing, automobiles, etc. etc.
To me, the crisp lines of a billiard just screams 1940s-50s...

Straight billiard for me. I have a Sav Tundra straight billiard that is colouring beautifully the more I smoke it.

Probably something like a size 3 or 4 sandblasted nosewarmer; apple or billiard shaped. Easy to keep in your mouth without a free hand, just like my MM pony express. Second thought maybe a poker style; even more like my favorite MM!
