They don't need anymore testers?Ok turns out you are only able to get finished pipes as part of the tester offer. Back to square one. Who would have thought this would have been so difficult lol

Offer is still available as far as I am aware. They just said it only applies to their finished pipes, not the semi finished ones or stummels without stems. I was keen to grab one of them so I could see the briar stock they were working with. No worries though, I’ll grab this so atleast there is something else to compareThey don't need anymore testers?
Yes I was planning on doing something similar when pipe arrives. Also curious about contents in chamber coatingIt might be interesting to get one of their dark stained ones and remove the stain to see if there are many pits and fills in the briar. That would give us an idea as to the grade of briar they are using.
Yeah bro. Pretty much agree with ya which is why I find this thread and test offer interesting. My opinion - Chinese Pipes are dumb -
You know the saying though - opinions are like...everyone's got one
Who could have guessed somthing like this could of happened. Shady cheap stuff and less than upright business practices from a china based company hard to believe.I’m back!
I’ve been waiting to corroborate information that Ideapipes was giving me, whether or not if this was factual.
Given the sensitivity of this, the person/company that was said to have a working relation with Ideapipes, asked to remain anonymous.
Ideapipes gave me false information, they lied to me in an email.
Now they certainly do seem to be in the Pipe business, but if you’re going to spend your money with this company, spend no more than $20USD, then consider your Credit Card safety!
I contacted @python with a PM, over the details of this. It’s now up to him whether this post lives or dies.
I for one am done, I threw the pipe away!
+1 for keeping this thread alive. The review of the pipe and experience is important.
I also forgot that when a thread is closed we can still read it. Lol. Cheers for the response anyways bro+1
This thread can stay open for informational purposes as long as it doesn't turn into a bashing/dog piling thread.
Bad/negative experiences are good to know about and can create good and important discussions. But a ton of bashing and negative comments don't add any value to the discussion.
You may have thought I was bashing and a xenophobe earlier, actually, you accused me of it.
Not you. The OP. I’m not worried. If you are referring to me, I am not quite sure what you're talking about. I have been handling a lot of mod stuff lately, but I honestly don't recall referencing you at all.
Yeah, as I also said earlier, having spent a little time in the country as a musician, this is truly normal business behavior. You may have thought I was bashing and a xenophobe earlier, actually, you accused me of it.
What you don’t know is I deal with Chinese Jobbers on a regular basis.
Houdini couldn’t do a better job. It’s just the reality of doing business with China.
Not you. The OP. I’m not worried.
Ideapipes gave me false information, they lied to me in an email.
that lying is an acceptable practice in business in China and to expect it.
