Back with a smoke review!
I’ll just keep it pretty basic, explaining a few details.
I found that from the first light, till the bottom, the entire smoke experience was good.
I’ve smoked the Cringle Flake in two MM Cobs, and my Peterson
Speciality Smooth Belgique Fishtail, the taste between all the pipes, including the Idea Pipe was similar.
When I smoke, I typically light, take a few sips, sometimes more than a few, of course depending on my mood, and then I let it go out, cool down and relight.
This time, on several lights, I made sure to really get all the tabac cooked, with one big glowing ember going, then I would sip and take bigger puffs pushing the pipe to see how the bowl held up to more heat, and how the flavor of the tabac came through, and it actually did quite well, still smooth and full of flavor with no bite.
The pipe never gurgled once, draw through the stem was nice, never felt strained, just seemed right.
I’ll have to admit the PAD/TAD did hit me around here... LOL
So I have bought quite a few pipes recently, two new ones from Italy, I will open for the New Year, and do a review on those, and see how this pipe fairs against those.
I will also buy a Genod next month, directly off their website from France, from Sebastien Beaud, of course a review later on as well, and to see how this pipe fairs with against a Genod.
I bought a lot of tabac over the past few months, so I have quite a varied bunch of blends to later run the pipe through, English, English/Aro, Va, VaPer, Balkan, Burely.
For now the pipe seems fine, but as mentioned by
@mikethompson it’s very fair to say, before spending your money, have something comparable to test against.
For now, my suggestion is, if you are really tight on money, buy one of their lower/lowest priced pipes to test out.
For now, it’s smooth sailing, or that should actually be smooth smoking! LOL
