When it gets really hot outside, I take out the straight razor and just do the bald thing. Here's my technique (above the sideburns):

Winter: #2

If my (remaining) hair was long enough for a Flowbee, I'd look like Bozo.
That’s what I’d like to do, but the wifey gets pretty pissed if I go completely razor-bald. If I had it my way my head would look like .45 ball, but the clippers with no guard is our compromise. When it gets really hot outside, I take out the straight razor and just do the bald thing.
Mine likes to pull my hair when it's long but says my bald head gives her a better grip. That’s what I’d like to do, but the wifey gets pretty pissed if I go completely razor-bald. If I had it my way my head would look like .45 ball, but the clippers with no guard is our compromise.
they light your ear hair on fire? wtflike most men in my city i go to the Turkish barbers every three weeks where you get the following whether you ask for it or not.
Apple tea,Nos2 back and sides 3 on top,hot towel, ear hairs set on fire, eye brows trimmed, head, neck massage finished off with Turkish cologne massaged into the scalp. Then you pay the man half of what you paid twenty years ago when you went to the barbers.I haven't been back since they reopened as my wife does a fine job.
I fear they may come looking for me.
Are you conscious throughout this?like most men in my city i go to the Turkish barbers every three weeks where you get the following whether you ask for it or not.

I kid you not, they dip a stick that has wadding on into blue coloured fuel then set light to it.They then wave it around your ears and it burns/ singes the hairs inside and outside your ears for older men its quite a bonfire. The customer does not move a muscle because you are a man right! you are surrounded by other men and you ain't no wuss. You just think this guy knows what he is doingthey light your ear hair on fire? wtf
Yep, fairly common. When we had dedicated barber shops here years ago many did the same.they light your ear hair on fire? wtf
Had it done many times myself. Other than the smell, it's not an unpleasant experience.I kid you not, they dip a stick that has wadding on into blue coloured fuel then set light to it.They then wave it around your ears and it burns/ singes the hairs inside and outside your ears for older men its quite a bonfire. The customer does not move a muscle because you are a man right! you are surrounded by other men and you ain't no wuss. You just think this guy knows what he is doing
Its when the guy sticks it up your nose to get the nose hairs thats when it gets serious.Allways leave a good tip.Yep, fairly common. When we had dedicated barber shops here years ago many did the same.
Never had that one, and mine would start an inferno. Its when the guy sticks it up your nose to get the nose hairs thats when it gets serious.Allways leave a good tip.
My backyard is a forest, further in you go, the more optional clothing becomes. So, I spend a lot of my time naked, around the house, in the garden, or hell...
And, we've told the kids that we turned their rooms into naked rooms, so they cannot move back... and now they call very carefully before coming over.further in you go, the more optional clothing becomes.
I often use straight razors myself. I've always loved going to a barber that did it. The hot towel, preshave oil, hot lather, and cool feel of the blade against my skin. I could easily compare it to one of my wife's spa days.Whilst all this is going on the guy in the seat next to you is having a wet shave and the barber is using an open blade razor.it gets very tense.
