Definitely! The summer is tough for sure, it becomes hard to justify the length. But I'd be sad to get it cut off, it's a weird dichotomy. If these Covid times seem like they're here to stay, I'll probably get it cut half way. Just too much to fiddle with all the time. Then again, I'm kind of in a "grow it while ya got it" situation. Who knows!I had the same problems when I had very long hair, it's a pain in the arse. Especially in the summer, when it would get really hot and sweaty.
I did used to tie it in a man bun sometimes........ I'm sorry, very sorry?
Just did mine for the first time in a while. Broke out the razor too. Before and after:

yeah my cycle is start to grow it out and then in the spring chop most of it off and feel way better. Seriously when my hair grows out I don't need a hat in the coldest part of the winter.Definitely! You have no idea how proud you just made me. I have a houndstooth shirt waiting for Halloween this year.
I go to a hair cutting chain and try to over-tip since I go so infrequently. chasing and alaskan, you do a great job, better than some of the "stylists," easily. Do you have a double mirror or do it by brail? Do you sweep up or do it outdoors? Women barbers/stylists seem to do a better job for me, listen to what i want and make an effort. Some of the guys just pretend to listen and then do whatever they want, and when it grows out, it looks okay.
Haha, I shouldn’t have said “I”. By “I did mine” I mean I drove my ass to great clips dressed like Dustin Hoffman in “Outbreak”.I go to a hair cutting chain and try to over-tip since I go so infrequently. chasing and alaskan, you do a great job, better than some of the "stylists," easily. Start with the longest guides if you want to give it a try. I was also using a cap band as a guide for the neck line when I first started, but now am comfortable using the edge of the blade as my guide.chasing wins my self-haircutting award. Judging from my job on my mustache, which is just okay, it may be a while before I try this, but it is tempting. If I chopped it up, I'd hear about it from my wife, who has to look at me. Obviously, I don't care that much, don't spend much time at the mirror. If no one laughs out loud or cringes, I figure I look pretty good.
If only we could all be as good looking as Ricky...
