If it gets really hot, about 30 degrees Celsius, I don't feel like smoking.
Not much anything else for that matter. Just get exhausted and tired.
Otherwise, I like virginias and kentucky blends in the summer.

I remember posting a few years back having at that time only been smoking a pipe for a a year or so. Took my girls to Miami for spring break and couldn’t wait to sit in a lounger with my pipe smoking the day away. Was so disappointed because no matter what I did, I couldn’t keep the pipe lit. It was way too hot and humid for my skill level at the time. Saying that, I’ve learned a lot since then. I smoke all year long, but prefer Virginias and burley in the heat. As soon as the weather turns cold, I start into the English/Balkans.

I only smoke a pipe at home, comfortably sitting on the sofa (my wife has left, so now I'm in charge). I don't have air conditioning but I have ceiling fans, which also help to keep the pipe lit (seeing is believing), so I smoke easily even in summer with 85°F in the house. However, I admit that in these conditions it is not fun to hold a hot object in my hand, so - generally - I prefer to smoke a cigar

I tend to prefer warm weather. I can sit out back, take my time. In winter I want that quick hit, which leads me to the ciggies, which I feel dull the taste.

I live in the Pacific Northwest. Smoking my pipes has always been a cool weather activity for me. Moving to the tropics years ago is why I quit... just too warm. Back home these last few years and starting to dabble again.

I too live in the PNW, and the last several years I've found myself smoking my pipes from around mid-September to mid-April. When the weather is cooler and wetter. During the warm weather I tend to smoke cigars 95% of the time. I rarely pick up my pipes during those warm weather days. Some days it's just too hot to smoke anything.

I only smoke on off days all year round. Burley in the morning and Virginia/Vaper in the afternoon…. and always outside. My kid has asthma so inside is a no go. Wife hates the smell of tobacco so inside is a no go…that’s the price you pay if you want to nudge her in the middle of the night. 😉

I’ve a project in development to renovate my garage somewhat to make it more smoking friendly year round…insulation, good heater, exhaust fan, radio & TV set up. Looking forward to it. ☕

If it’s too hot, no. Too hot for me is above 95°. However, if I can be out of direct sunshine and there’s a slight breeze I’ll enjoy a bowl. Thankfully I had a small shop built last year and I can be in the shade with some fans on with the shop door open to circulate air

I’d much rather smoke when it’s cooler, even cold. But there again, I just need to be out of a breeze.

My in-laws up in Indiana don't smoke now because its too cold.
I smoke everyday regardless of temperature.
If i was a seasonal smoker would quit.
