I try to keep my order below 300 grams, shipping across boarders, which usually equates to around $100 to $150 depending on product and shipping.

Usually I'm around $40-50. This month's TAD, thanks to some birthday cash, was $180...the wife bought a watch!

I also LOVE free shipping and find it no difficult task to keep adding to my cart until I hit $100. I know Pipe Guys have really good prices and I believe you get free shipping if you spend over $50, so if waiting to get to $100 is an issue you may want to give them a try.

If I keep it around $30 I'm usually able to fly under the radar, and if I keep it about $60 I don't catch to much flak. Anything more than that usually causes the wife to get pissed. Since the wife pays the bills I have to use strategy when making purchases. Though I have dropped $100 at times, but that's usually only after I've won at poker night and have plenty of extra cash on hand.

It really depends. If I'm trying to sample some stuff especially bulk it could be as low as twenty dollars, but if I were stocking up on bulk it would probably be aound a a hundred. i tend to be a bit conservative when buying tins because I don't see as much value, but that goes out the window as soon as I see a sale or bonus tin for purchase. generally I spend about as much as I can spare. Seems to be $50-100 monthly.

I always make sure to hit the $100 mark for free shipping at P&C or 4Noggins. Also i switch back and forth as to whoever has ALL of what I want to order in stock.

I have never bought online myself (Wife has though to buy me gifts such as the Peterson Specials etc). I love the ritual of popping into my b&m in person & shooting the breeze with the eeevil shopkeep (he keeps convincing me to buy pipes I don't need!).
I used to do this every weekend, as I don't really keep much of a cellar. I'd spend just over £33 (approx $55) on my everyday 2 x bulk baccies and maybe throw in a tin every other couple of weeks. However, I've now struck a deal with him where he'll sell me the 500g bags of bulk he gets for £100 each which is a saving of £26 (about $42) on what it would normally cost. This will last me approx 10 weeks.
Also, this means he cannot tempt me with shiny pipes so often!

I order anywhere from 100.00 to 450.00 on any given order. It depends on who I am using as SP gives their best discount when you order 25 of the same blend. I never spend less than 100.00 as I count free shipping as free tins of tobacco and I love free tins. I am pretty much only buying pipes and accessories now as my cellar is complete except for one blend.

$100 to $150, each and every month. I too like to take advantage of the free shipping, and I'm adding to my cellar. I'll slow down building my cellar in a decade or so. :)

Harris, I always thought your main consideration wasn't how much it cost, but what the maximum weight limit was on the UPS truck...:)

Usually around $40 per month - I'm building my cellar. The shipping runs around $6 to $8 per order, but it's still cheaper than a B&M visit.

zack, lol.
Peck, once I finish with this last blend I will share it with everyone, if you hadn't been such a pig on it I would have been done months ago. It is all your fault.

$100 an order, once or twice a month, to build up the cellar. I haven't ordered in a month or so since I've been focusing on guitar work, and my first car payments since 2007 started, but plan to double down on TAD the rest of 2013.

Since May I have been spending between $100-200 each month and will probably continue at this pace for a year or two longer. Like many I have been building up my cellar in preparation for the Zombie Apocalypse, terrible tobacco tax (T3), or the collapse of the dollar, any of which could happen at any time I suppose.
Until then keep cellaring...
