EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title (See Rule 9)

I think most will agree that those plastic lids especially how we stretch them over the tubs metal rim are cringeworthy.
I hear a lot of people jar CD blends immediately specifically due to the tin type.
I personally like to use some cellophane between the tub and lid, but today wasn’t handy. Man, I hate these tubs or rather the lids on the tub

Don't much care if the contents dry out over time, in fact, that's how I prefer: Ready to go right from the container. There's no need to prep, meaning I'm not waiting for a pipe-full to dry out to the right consistency. Just goes right into the pipe. Containers of "Old Joe," "Key Largo," "Jack Knife" Ready Rubbed, "Burley Flake #3," "Two Friends - Redwood," etc., are in the perfect state. Each of the seals broken (keep the lid on) over two years or more.

I will immediately jar most tins I open unless it’s something I know I’ll finish something on. For instance, I know that when I open a tin of Fillmore or sixpence it will likely be gone in 1-2 weeks and the C and D/GL Pease tins are perfectly sufficient to hold moisture for at least a month, even in the extremely arid climate in which I live.

You bend your head and body in fear or in a servile manner over a tin? Pringle's cans must terrify you. rotf

Sorry, that's just the most wrongly used word I've ever seen or heard. A 50 gram tin usually lasts me just under a week so I don't bother jarring them. I just smoke the tin until it's gone.
Those lids don’t snap that well , and they’re plastic which I tend to find disgust regularly albeit everything we use these days contains plastic

It depends...I jar if it will be more than a few weeks no matter what tin. All square tins get Jared ASAP. If it dries out more than I like, I just sprinkle water, let sit for a while then jar. Not really a big deal. Some blends like Old Toby never dry out. Seattle Pipe Club seem to dry out if you look at them sideways. Experience tells me how quick to jar.

I open a tin, smoke on it ‘til it’s gone, toss the tin*. I may have 20 tins open at a time, but that’s OK; I like my tobacco on the dry side. Any tobacco that gets too dry (practically dust), gets tossed. If it’s that dry, I didn’t like it.

* the exception to tossing tins - I keep the ones with with plastic lids for holding tobacco I take out of jars.

I like the C&D tins just fine. I have not actually noticed that they dry out any faster than the typical, European style tins. Whether I jar the contents or not depends on whether it is a blend I'll smoke 4-5+ times a week while I have it in stock, like Jackknife and some of the Burley Flakes, or whether it is a more occasional smoke for me like a lot of the Latakia blends are.
