If smoking out of any Tim is a concern to some of you, why don't you just put it in a -ten cent zip lock bag during the duration of working through it? And if you have grave concerns, just put it into a mylar bag or transfer the contents. Not a big deal with any option.

Blends that are dry, like GLP Piccadilly should be jarred, no additional drying needed. An aromatic that needs an hour just to be mildly dry should be left in the opened tin to dry some until it’s perfect, then jarred. I jar them and tape the tin label onto the jar.

Do you jar a tin of coffee after you open it? same basic style of tin. I've got tins that have been open for a few months now with no ill effect.

Old timers may recall Pease tins with paper liners under too-loose caps (I may have a few) 2004-ish.
I put foil under open tin lids if it will be a while until I finish it.
The same was true with some of the early Hermits/Captain Earle's with the tall boy tins. With some, if you turned the capped tin upsidedown, the plastic lid would just fall off. Actually, most of my C&D/Pease/Two Friends/current run Hermits/Captain Earle's, etc. have enough humectant compared to a lot of Euroblends that in my average humidity climate (near Philly) the plastic lids do just fine with the opened tins.

I'll stick with Betty, or Mary and leave Tim and Larry for you.
I don't want them either. But what if there is a global disaster and no Betty Mary or others survive. Trust me at that point if Larry shaves and doesn't say anything..... You know you never know what could happen. It's like if all the pipes where stolen by aliens except Grabows you'd have to quit or learn to love Grabows. Neither is ideal but adaptation is what makes us human.

I'm not sure I buy into the comparative analogy. With the first scenario, Larry can keep his hairy arse and give me the shaving cream, I'll figure it out on my own, take matters into hand you might say. With the second scenario, I'd have no issue with Grabows were they the only option.

see I guess that's the difference I'd really have to be out of options to smoke a grabow. Oh and I forgot to tell you the same pandemic that gets rid of all the ladies also makes hands useless. You can still type but.... You get what I am saying. I am saying you have to have a contingency plan for the worst case scenario.
