I haven't bought many C&D Tins as I mostly buy a couple of their bulks, but the tins I bought last year had plastic lids that fit, which didn't used to be the case. Have they gone back to lids that don't fit? Brands need something that sets them apart, but shoddy packaging wouldn't be my choice.
it's hit or miss - sometimes the lids do not fit and it ticks me off - its probably the manufacturers fault of defective production and quality control issues

it's another word which the meaning has changed over time. I could give a whole list of words that originally meant one thing and mean another. Heck nice used to mean stupid. Making the directions to play nice with someone very different.
Or another word they were too lazy to look up the definition of.

well you know the dictionary is a reference work not thee final arbiter of meaning. I'd say once a word is commonly used to mean something that carries more weight then the dictionary does. Dictionaries are way more conservative (not politically speaking) then popular language is. It sticks to traditions longer. Cringe certainly means something that is so gross it makes you wince. Everybody knew that's what he was saying. I knew it you knew it, and even Scooby Doo knew it (you know if he was real.)

you knew it,
I've heard it so much, I really don't. I was beginning to think young people were abnormally terrified of everything. It's like the saying, "I know, right?" Is the speaker asking for validation that they know something?
