Haven't noticed my other hobby in the forums. I raise live corals and salt water fish. I love the colors of the salt water fish and the amazing variety of corals than can be tank raised. It's really quite a chemistry project. I have to measure all the chemical parameters of the water regularly and do whatever is recommended to make the necessary changes in the water column. Has given me two more seriously expensive disorders. FAD and CAD. I just can't help myself when I check out the online offerings of all the marine venders. Love having my own private ocean/eco-environment to ponder while smoking. I imagine myself under water on a reef blowing bubbles out of my pipe.

I hope those peppers taste good when you eat them. I avoid all spicy foods after being in intensive care as a result of intestinal bleeding in 2008.
I never again want to experience that tube going from my nose to my stomach for over 8 hours.

They really are quite tasty.

I'm smoking the Yellow and Red Bhut Jolokias today. Been at it since about 5:00 this morning.

They smell wonderful... steal your breath away, but smell wonderful.
Edit: Here are the Yellow Bhuts ready to smoke.

Lawrence... do you grow them from seeds? or do you buy the seedlings or young plants?

I have several chili plants but they are the normal variety orange Habaneros, Jalapenos, Serranos and a black Cobra chili... I would like to expand to some of those other varieties that you have.

Other than pipes I have been breeding reptiles for a few years, mainly crested geckos and leopard geckos. I also used to work for a candle company, so I usally make a bunch of candles around the hollidays for gifts and what not. Mainly sand cast candles and some soy.

Here's a couple from my old hobby. I've had to cut down and these are the last 4. I used to have a lot more but thanks a wonderful divorce these are all that I have room for. One of these days though the collection may be bigger.

I always tried to pick fun ones the kids ad most everyone could play. while having games around that I really liked was fun for me, it was more fun to see everyone else enjoying themselves. :)

I love to work on cars, playing/collecting guitars, and gardening. I've been doing a lot of gardening more than anything else. It’s a challenge to garden in the South West but like a pipe, patience is big part of success.

Hey captainprophesy...

I have grown these from seeds... They ain't your OTC pepper seeds.

They are perennials so I have transplanted to large buckets and brought them inside for this winter.

Next Winter I'll prune them back and cover them, like you would treat roses.

The Chocolate Habaneros are a minimum of 10 times as hot as the hottest Yellow or Orange Habanero you've ever experienced... And they are the mild peppers.

The rest are in an all together different league.

Think of the hottest jalapeño you have ever eaten that would = "Tee-ball"

These Chocolate Habaneros = high-school baseball

The Douglahs, Yellow 7 Pods, Jonahs, Ghosts are World Champs...
Here's an inside photo under the red/blue grow light and incandescent.

It is loaded with the almost ripe Red Bhut Jolokias. (Last week)

Picked a dozen yesterday, will get at least a dozen tomorrow.

Heres a video I took with my phone. This tank was started about six months back. I've added a few more corals since this was taken. I had to tear down my big 100 gallon tank last year when my lovely bride decided she didn't want to be my lovely bride anymore. Hope to build it back up again soon.

Well heck, I couldn't get the video to work. I'll have to study up on that.
