Hello There,

After a three-decade hiatus got back into the hobby. Nowadays enjoying the taste, aromas, and relaxing moments with my pipe. Regretfully its seems nobody around here seems to smoke pipes anymore; kinda lonely hobby to partake in. Very much liking the forums though. Looking forwards to learning a lot more, increasing my small collection of pipes and tobaccos, and experiencing how my tastes develop in time. Good to be here.

Sounds like our population is so sparse we're resorting to "marking" the territory to let each other know of our existence; and instead of pheromones we drop little mounds of dottle to reveal our existence.

I understand.
In a previous life, I was part of a church in which about eight of us were pipe smokers. We got together regularly.
Since moving away, it's been a lonelier enjoyment.
