I have never gotten a satisfactory order, or undamaged order from them. My ISPD order was double charged, so after this order comes in, if it does, it will be the last of my dealings with them.
Have never receive a bad order from SPC, 4noggins, Milan, Pipeandleaf, Iwan Ries, Cupojoes, eBay, or Pipestud.
Wow.
I hate to see a once great tobacco company get vilified with such a broad sword.
P&C is all about Russ Ouelette and his phenomenal blends. Yep, over the years I had misfires from P&C with dented tins and jacked up orders, but again, it always came back to Russ and his brand of magic. Orders were corrected and all was right with the world.
Now that I've found Kevlar bags I'm going to continue cellarring AK enmasse and I'll be visiting with you smokers in five years or so.

I used the coupon to help stock up on a few of my favorites. Everything worked fine, P&C is good to go.

I apparently can be bought off. Also got the $50.00 certificate. Spent it and that much more, now awaiting the shipment.
My concern is that the order that was placed on Friday is still showing as "processing". I realize it's only Monday, but there are two other orders still under my account from weeks ago that are also listed as such....

I only threw $6 and some change in for shipping. If it shows up, great, if not, no major loss. Getting charged $100 for a $50 IPSD order writes them off of my buying list. P&C has become the KMart of online tobacco shops in my opinion.
Duane, maybe P&C has it in for you. You haven't been caught romancing the owner's pet chihuahua by any mischance? How else to explain the series of calamitous events P&C rains down upon you? Could P&C's shipping department have an official enemies list posted on the wall with you in the center of it?
It's unusual for someone to have this much disdain for a company or product. There are some things and companies that I hate; I really, really hate, but I don't go to such lengths to bash them. Your posts on every single P&C thread and then this... I don't know.
But, I guess the positive thing is that it gives the rest of us another chance to tell everyone what a fantastic company this is. I order every month, $100-300 a month. I have never had a single flawed order from them. I did call once to see about returning something, no questions, totally helpful responses. Years and years of orders, month after month, with exceedingly vast opportunities for them to screw up, and not once have they done so.
I'm not exactly sure what to make of the constant disdain by a few here. Maybe born under the wrong sign, or some odd cosmic flaw. I hate it for them, but whatever it was, really riles up an anti-P&Cer.
But, I will recommend them to anyone looking for the best deal on pipe tobaccos.
And, you have to use them at least once to see if maybe you have this strange karmic luck like these guys, or do the gods smile upon you like they must me.
