Don't worry it will go back upIn N.C., recently the price came down a little from $4.69 to $4.39, if I remember correctly. I drive a Mazda-3, am retired, and don't drive distances or commute on any regular basis, so I'm doing OK. I admit, I've never been able to put $40 worth of gas in a fill-up before. For families with two or more cars, larger vehicles, with two or more commuters in the family, even N.C.'s prices are too high. Fifty or eighty dollar fill-ups are just par.
Anther reason I’m glad I’m back home in Florida, heating oil will be a nightmare. A lot of people will be cold this winter. ?Problem here is we need to use premium which is way overpriced at $5.50+ a gallon home heating oil is going to be an issue as it is still over $5 a gallon. BTW, oil closed under $100 a barrel today, but it is up tonight to over $101. It’ll take about a month for the lower price to filter down to the consumer, unlike like the increase at the pump which happens the day after the price per barrel goes up $2
Ouch!! That scooter was nice!In Knoxville, we've been hovering around $4.50-something for a month or so.
I had the fortunate timing of selling my Texas house in January, buying my Tennessee house in March and then in April, paying the ridiculous price to fuel a 26' truck jammed full of my possessions 1100 miles at 6MPG. My ass still hurts from that reaming.
Only the sale of the Texas place at an exorbitant profit saved my bacon.
I miss my 70mpg scooter I sold before leaving Texas...
