I have to admit, F1 on Netflix has been quite interesting to watch, can’t wait to see it again…

I'm not a LeClerc fan and only pulled for Ferrari when Alonso drove for them, but I was pulling for LeClerc. Ferrari winning at Monza is a spectacle. Great fans.
What about when Schumacher was driving for them? Ferrari with the holy trinity of Jean Todt, Ross Brawn and Schumacher was my favourite time at Ferrari.

When I first started watching F1 as a kid in the 1980's Ferrari weren't at the top anymore. Those were the years of McClaren and Williams domination. It was so great to see them get back to the very top at the turn of the century. It's the same thing now. Kimi's championship win was 17 years ago! That's a long time for a team as iconic as Ferrari. They've had some brilliant drivers during those 17 years but it just hasn't come together. I hope they can build a good car next year. Lewis and Charls will be the best lineup on the grid.

Right - Ferrari won in 1979 (Andretti?) and then not again until 2000 and Schumacher & Company. (had to look it up, Jody Scheckter)

Wish that crash had happened about 7 laps earlier and we'd had a full safety car. Would've made the last few laps really interesting.

Damage limitation for Lando today and he did what he had to do and got ahead of Max. Shame qualifying went wrong yesterday or he could've been top 3. He's running out of races to catch up. We really need a DNF from Max to close the gap more.

Can't believe that Red Bull has gone so off the boil. They could definitely do with Adrian Newey still being there. He's off to Aston Martin next year and it'll be really interesting to see what happens. He always said that he wanted to go to Ferrari one day but Aston offered him £30M a year plus a percentage of the business. Ferrari were never gonna match that. I know that's something he's always wanted. I saw an interview with the late Frank Williams where he said that that's the reason Newey left Williams back in the 1990's. Newey wanted a small percentage of the company but Frank and Patrick Head weren't prepared to give it to him. Frank admitted that it was a big mistake to not give him what he wanted.

Aston now have all the pieces in place to become title challengers. They've got a billionaire owner who isn't afraid to splash the cash - he's spent big money on upgrading their factory and building a wind tunnel. They've got Fernando Alonso as one of their drivers and now Adrian Newey is there. If Lawrence Stroll would just fuck his son out the door and replace him with Max Verstappen it would be perfect. That ain't never gonna happen though. Still, it's gonna be interesting seeing what Newey can do with the major rule changes that are coming in 2026.

Just a heads up that the Singapore GP is this weekend.

I just read the Max has been punished for swearing during the press conference, yesterday. He referred to his car from the last round in Baku as being “fucked”.

He's not wrong though, is he?

Speaking of McLaren, I'm hoping to see Senna's 1988 McLaren next Sunday at a local event.
I'll post a photo if I can.
Well, I found it. Lovely car. The wings are so basic compared to modern F1 cars. Only two buttons on the steering, (Engine off and the Radio I think), the cockpit seemed so open compared to modern cars. It was in its own marquee.
On the track a Minardi F1 car did a few laps. Made a nice V10 noise.

After a 3 week break F1 is back with the United States GP. There's a sprint race before qualifying and Max is on pole, which is a shame for the title race. Looks like the updates they've brought may have calmed down the Red Bull a bit. Hopefully Max has a DNF in the actual race and Lando wins. Would certainly make the run in more interesting.

I think McClaren will win the constructors and Max will win the championship.

Max needs a come from behind drive today to limit the damage. It should be an interesting race.
I agree. Max and McLaren.
Max did well today in Brazil.
And even more amazing. The team I like came second and third. Normally its something like second and third from last.
