I'm not 100% sure. Normally it's whoever is ahead at the first corner or pit stop. Thanks, I was aware that was the case, but the reason(s) elude me.

Right. The biggest help was giving up pitting first to help Lando fend off Hamilton. I lost a lot of respect for Lando last week.Since Piastri has the better start and lead most of the race is my guess. I think McLaren just messed up the pit strategy and wanted to correct it on track. I think the other reasons are the Piastri has helped Landon multiple times before and with his leading most of the race wanted to reward those efforts.
He should have picked upmore rubber on those tires after the race.I guess being 1.5kg lighter explains the tire degradation. Sucks for George but rules are rules.
And he had no chance to pick up rubber or marbles in Spa. Really feel bad for GeorgeI guess being 1.5kg lighter explains the tire degradation. Sucks for George but rules are rules.
I keep hearing that part. Funny thing is no one else has the chance either and they made weight. And he had no chance to pick up rubber or marbles in Spa. Really feel bad for George
I don't think there's a conflict of opinions between the fact that Mercedes screwed up and that George didn't have the last chance to pick up some weight.I keep hearing that part. Funny thing is no one else has the chance either and they made weight.
Perfect timing here, just finished our move to Louisiana, TV is all set up. Qualifying in the AM (and everything is an hour earlier here!), then Cars & Coffee with my new British Motoring Club of New Orleans buddies.Just a heads up that F1 has returned after the summer break. Dutch GP qualifying is tomorrow.
It feels like F1 of the 1980's, with teams getting the better of each other at phases in the season.Lando absolutely pissed it. That's how you develop a car. Red Bull looked untouchable in the first races but now they've been caught and overtaken. McClaren definitely have the better car, now.
Both the constructors and drivers championships are up for grabs. McClaren making Lando give the place back in the last race might bite them in the arse come the end of the season. Red Bull really need to up their development game.
Roll on, Monza!
Yeah, it's been a really big surprise to me. After the first few races I honestly thought we were gonna have a repeat of last year with Max just walking it. So glad it hasn't turned out that way. Max still has a mighty lead but a DNF or two and Lando could easily reel him in.It feels like F1 of the 1980's, with teams getting the better of each other at phases in the season.
Without Adrian Newey? I don’t know.Red Bull need to bring some upgrades that work, and quickly.
McClaren cares about the Constructor's title and Lando is F’n up there chances with his starts. I didn’t think he really had a chance ant the Drivers title anyway.I think McClaren are fucking up Lando's chances of winning the title. Max still has a big lead. They should've imposed team orders and let Lando pass Piastri at the very end of the race. You can bet that Red Bull will be using team orders to help Max and McClaren need to wise up and do the same thing.
Lando has a chance, a slim one but still a chance. If they had switched Oscar and Lando around at the end of the race it would've cost McClaren nothing in terms of the constructors. McClaren should back Lando as he's the only one with a chance of catching Max.Without Adrian Newey? I don’t know.
