Go to your privacy...then scroll down to Allow users to....then click "nobody" or another option that works for you...and that may solve your issue.

I actually prefer book marking threads than following certain people that way I can go back easier to read the suggestions that have helped me in the past with cleaning or repairing...

I also like to bookmark some threads. Information I know I'm going to want to reference in the future.
