Smoking a Flake right now on the back porch after an evening of drinking bourbon. Nice earthy tobacco flavors with a hint of molasses. Almost cigar like. Very tasty. Light pepper. Smooth retrohale. Cool burn. Strong, but not overpowering for a cigar guy. Four flakes would put me out like a ninja kick to the dong. Need to dedicate this to a small pipe. Definitely a winner!

Nic level to me is about the same as a strong robusto cigar. I bought 10 tins. Jarred 2. The rest for the cellar. This will take me a shit long time to smoke through!

The only time I did 4 of those chewing gum flakes in a bowl was with Old Dark Fired and despite that not being an unusually strong blend for a Virginia-Kentucky I was pretty well saturated at 2 and a half hours. With Rustica or GHC Dark Flake I tend to smoke for about 90 (~2 flakes of Rustica) minutes in the morning and by that time I am definitely ready for something a bit softer in nicotine. So 4 flakes and three and a half hours of Rustica would put a serious hurt on me! Initially I pegged Rustica as being between Bold Kentucky and GHC Dark Flake but now I believe it is probably right on par with Dark Flake. Which is really quite substantial!
