I agree! It just felt like a very limited interaction and an off the cuff “can’t be done.” I feel like there are artisans out there who can make it happen, and as special of a piece as this’d be for me, it’d likely remain in the case almost exclusively.

Either way, the carvers with whom I’m speaking have displayed incredible figural pieces and I’m inclined to believe them when they say it’s achievable.

Awesome to hear. Post lots of pics when you finally have that beauty in hand. Such a pipe would be museum quality, for sure.

I, too, say ask Sadik Yanik. And see if the horns could be made of acrylic and attached. Yanik is a good carver for things like that.
