Lee's a great down to earth guy, got to meet him through Bruce Weaver.Von erck is my hero. My kind of guy.
Hey embers, a noob would really enjoy it as I did, but you ole codgers meh......Seventy-eight minutes of my life I'll never get back.?
Waited eight years for it being told it was coming out that year. Poured five grand into donations, licensed tobacco, and pipes and just found the overall production a letdown. The format seemed unbalanced. If it followed a formula like GENERAL ORDERS NO.9, it may have held my attention better.Hey embers, a noob would really enjoy it as I did, but you ole codgers meh......
For sure. Anyone who hasn't seen it...watch it.Hey embers, a noob would really enjoy it as I did
Twenty-nine years, started in the summer of '91.how long you been smoking a pipe

?Heh, so did I. Was my "Freshman" year at university, as the Americans say.
how much did they spend on the movie? Any idea? I can't imagine it had much budget for a movie at least.Waited eight years for it being told it was coming out that year. After watching it, I thought the same thing.how much did they spend on the movie? Any idea? I can't imagine it had much budget for a movie at least.
never watched it myself. Then again it seems kind of interesting until compared to all the other options out there. After watching it, I thought the same thing.
As someone in the brewing industry, it definitely makes sense to me that you would become so jaded. After ten years of commercial brewing and about seven of being production management, you fight every day for that "new spark". I'd also probably be pulling my hair out regardless if I were to donate so much to the cause. I still thought it romanticized pipe making and the enjoyment of the leaf the way I first felt when lighting up, so I'll agree with the fact that it is perfect to aid people in forming that deep ritualistic love we share for the culture as a whole. Maybe I'm just completely wrong, so whatever.I guess spending so much time around several pipe carvers, and making them myself desensitized me to it.
See, I can't even see it as that. I'm just a smoker. Load the pipe, light it, and go. Until I found online forums for it, I had never even heard of such a thing.deep ritualistic love we share for the culture
Good on you for keeping it so simple.See, I can't even see it as that. I'm just a smoker. Load the pipe, light it, and go. Until I found online forums for it, I had never even heard of such a thing.
