While I love my Porsche Design pipe, it has nothing really to do with the car company. They were made by the company, Gubbels, who also make Big Ben pipes.
I read years ago where The Hans Landa pipe was a Strambach brand. Which is disheartening lol

About the only friend I have who smokes a pipe is an electronic music composer who gets grants from Guggenheim, has played concerts in Carnegie Hall, and is known in the music world, but no one would recognize his name if mentioned it. He and his wife have given me a couple of pipes and some tobacco. He played a contemporary sax solo at my wife's and my wedding, and the minister panicked because it wasn't standard wedding music, but luckily let him finish. He's gifted but avant guard, works with musicians from all over he world. So he's my "pipe celebrity." Let the world catch up.
He was busking in NYC, and one woman put some dollars his sax case, then she went to a concert where he was invited up on stage to join the ensemble. The woman saw him after he concert and demanded her busking money back, which he gave her. He's always up to some mischief.
