The older cream-colored bags can be dodgy.

Pinholes visible with the help of a flashlight.

I don't worry about it. They're all encased in 7 ply Mylar.

Caution is good, but on my Esoterica bags, the "pinholes" aren't holes. It's where the paint has chipped off the mylar. A quick Charmin squeeze will tell you if the tobacco is still plenty wet.

What you really have to worry about is Esoterica and peepholes.

I have four open Esoterica bags here. I close them with binder clips. They've been like that for over a year and aren't anywhere near dry.
