I figured since I dedicate my pipes and tobacco, I should try dedicating my lighters as well. I think I will start with my morning lighters. I am thinking my 2 Pewter Pipemasters with the pipe shapes should go first. Next I am thinking one or 2 of my Pipemasters that have a wood side would be good for afternoon smokes. Next I am thinking my Silver Pipemaster before dinner and then finally my Gold Pipemaster for after dinner.

So who likes this idea? Is this just way over the top in the dedicating circles or is it pure genius? I am thinking pure genius as it was my idea. Dedicating to certain blends could get real complicated and since I can barely remember my own name I figured to keep it simple. Now admit it if this thought has ever come through that noggin of yours.

yes sort of. I did buy a lighter for one pipe with a super small chamber. I use a soft flame for my Tsuge because the zippo flame is too big to use easily with it. It requires odd contortions to use the zippo with it. But the Colibri soft flame works great for that but I find the zippo much for all my other pipes. I really need to ream the Canadian soon.

I think whatever makes the experience complete for the individual. A lighter dedicated to a pipe could also look cool on display depending on the lighter you seek out.

Personally, Bic lights all of my smokes. Used to use zippos, got tired of them leaking in my pocket.

Y'all ever had a fuel/chemical burn on your wang?

Bic it is for me.

To answer the question of the post...um, no. I don't. But since we're on lighters: I tried a rope lighter when I was recently at the shore for a couple weeks. They're a bit unique in that they are near-worthless in non-windy conditions (you have to blow on them to keep 'em glowing, which is hard to do when lighting a pipe), but they are fantastic in windy conditions -- they act like the old glowing cigarette lighters in cars. I was very pleased that in some very windy conditions I was able to torch pipes with it. After a couple weeks, though, my rope was running short.
