Day two of beef vegetable soup. Probably the last of the cooler weather this week, so I made a vat of soup this weekend. Gave some away and probably still have too much. Not sure if freezing it is a good option. So, I will just eat it all week.
Going out for Italian I ordered a combination dinner. Lasagna, manicotti, and penne pasta all baked together, topped with mozzarella. The chef misread the order and made sausage meatball bake (no pasta), so they gave me the meat bake for free. that's about 2 more dinners at home. A big plus since I don't have anything else on hand.

Tonight was my wife's bacon, cheese, and veggie quiche. Quite good.

Wrapped in baking paper with a little p&s and some butter for 35 minutes in the oven 180 degrees Celsius.
Post pm for the recipe , it is an immense treat to the senses.

...and supper time. Corn, taters, mushrooms, and sausage in the pot, and the rest is ‘dads.
Takeaway Deep Fried Cod and Chips, mushy peas, and a large wally (gherkin) covered in salt and vinegar served in paper. Eaten sitting on a sea wall.
Smoked country ribs, potatoes with fresh chives, and fried brussel sprouts with bacon, feta, and pecans…. And peach cobbler is in the oven, and ice cream is being made as I type.
Homemade tostada. Ground turkey w/various spices (plenty of chili powder), refried beans (from scratch, no cans here), grated mild cheddar, sour cream, avocado slices, shredded red leaf lettuce, and two salsas made from scratch: pico de gallo, and tomatillo. All credit goes to the wife.
Only thing pre-bought is the corn tortilla, on the bottom, out of view. Grilled in oil until crispy. De-leesh!

I can really get into the strip steak with asparagus and mashed potatoes.
