When I started I wanted to do everything perfectly, including dedicating. But even as I did it I thought it extreme. did it for two years and stopped. I noticed no diminution of flavor.

I do have dedicated pipes now days. Not sure how it happened, but it did. Have couple of bulldogs I only smoke English/Balkan in. Have couple of narrower pipes for flakes. Two pipes for coins. Then there are two cobs for CH, one for SWR and another for Granger. Other than OTC, I haven't smoked same tin twice to have blend dedicated briar.
