How many times have I answered the question how many pipes a day do I smoke. I have answered so many I couldn't count. But the new guys asks and it is my duty to answer and to make the member feel welcome.

I have been on internet sites starting in late 1996. I have seen sites come and go and the ones that are still here protect and welcome the new guys, It is our duty to Kevin who givees us this pace to free, to help him grow it and make i a place that will stand the test of time.

There is no such thing as a dumb question. Sure some are more intellectual than others but we are here t o learn and have fun. Silly threads are good for the p;ace, I can show off my insane humor that people cannot even comprehend because it is just too fucking funny.

I've been on this forum for a few years, and long enough to know there has always been those who hijack threads and /or make them political and/or antagonize others. The only real difference since the Great Update is that the names of them have changed.

Overall there is a good balance here, and I do not pine for the old days.

And if you are feeling defensive, perhaps it's because you see yourself in his own words. Personally, I like to have a bit of fun on here and enjoy everyone's quips, but as a earlier poster said, quality over quantity.
Earlier today I was wondering where have all the regular contributors gone. Perhaps the onslaught of mundane postings is the reason their participation has dropped. Food for thought.

I was the first to pile on the Hari Krishna thread but c'mon...... That guy was BEGGING FOR IT!

All that being said... I just read the Newark thread in which a guy asks if anyone is going presumably to hook up with fellow forum members to share a bowl, and then the thread was basically hijacked and bantered about.

I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just making an observation.....

Kudo's, Georged, for pointing it out. I am adult enough to admit I have been a little casual in hijacking threads and will make a point to reel it in a tad.

In terms of posting with some regularity, I consider myself to be a "regular contributor." Am also a bit of an old fogey. Do have a good sense of humor and do enjoy some bantering, though don't really chime into that. Do like to see some of that, but generally respond more to the stuff George alludes to.
