There are so many areas to explore coming away from Latakia but as others have noted darker G&H stuff has big flavor and a good amount of smoke and nicotine, Kendal Dark, Dark Birdseye, and Kendal Kentucky, can all be got in small quantities on the cheap from SP to sample. I like a lat bomb here and there but enjoy all the G&H stuff for a stout smoke daily.
I gotta tell ya, I just got that old dark Birdseye in and am working through my first bowl. WOW! This stuff is great and exactly what I was looking for. Its pretty stout indeed and has a great flavor a bit of spice and the room note is fantastic. This is a very welcome break from all the lat heavy stuff I've been puffing on. Thanks so much for the recommendation.

What are some non English blends to a new pipe smoker who has definitely taken a liking to English blends. I love the full bodied, earthy, woody, smoky profile I get from them. However, I'm looking for something also full bodied, but without the latakia, smoky note.

Thank you in advance!

On edit I see you got some Dark Birdseye already - good for you!
