Dark Coffee Stronger?

I'm not sure I understand people who drink stronger flavored coffees any more than people who smoke aromatic blends that have no nicotine. Or, people who drink near beers or sparkling grape juice. Or meat shaped tofu. It all sort of seems like the same thing to me.

It’s all about the flavor my man. And others’ flavor is often different than yours. As for the rest, I’m not getting involved as I’m sure @BROBS can defend the “meat shaped tofu” piece.?️

I guess a dark roast robusta bean still contains more caffeine than a light roast arabica. So it depends.

Stronger? Most folks would be hard pressed to feel the caffeine difference between light and dark roast of the same bean. Most folk would almost always say the darker roast of the bean taste stronger.
Our preferred bean is a Sumatra Mandheling roasted locally to a Vienna level. Smooth, low acid, stands up to the wife's cream.

Haven't had coffee in few months. After drinking tea again, coffee taste like thick mud. Probably will wait till I'm sick of tea again.

Caribou Coffee is the best chain in the US. Still cranky that they left Ohio when they were bought by Pete's.

Starbucks burns their coffee and their espresso is awful. Haven't been there in years.

Don't know Caribou, but sure know Peet's as they started blocks from where I used to live.

I have to be totally desperate to walk into a Star*ucks. As when traveling and Yelp doesn't show anything else.
