I'm stuggling a bit with applying the term, "comfort food," to tobaccos. I love comfort foods, like macaroni and cheese, but seldom eat the stuff. So is "comfort food tobacco" an all day smoke, or that special treat one enjoys occasionally?
I smoke tobacco because I've developed and appreciation for the experience slowing down to a contemplative, quiet smoke. That, and the nicotine, give me comfort every day. I don't chow down on traditional comfort food every day, but I do smoke every day. So... the notion of a "comfort food tobacco" is different for me and does not have a direct comparison to comfort food.
So... contrary to the opinion of the OP, codger blends CAN be someone's comfort food. Also, whatever is in the blend may be a source of comfort for some but not so good for others.
Caveats applied, my "go to" smokes in my current rotation are:
C&D Pegasus
C&D Blue Ridge
GLP Cumberland
perique blended with with a generous helping of smoke shop bulk "bag tobacco," currently D&R Two Timer or Kentucky Select Gold.
Treat tobaccos smoked not every day are:
My limited supply of various Mac Baren HH blends
Gawith Brown and Black Bogie twists
GLP Quiet Nights
GLP Horizons
straight perique, but really liking that 51% Beast tobacco that C&D recently released
This all can change next month.
