Almost makes me wish I had a birthday every month
I've noticed that the shade of the coloration does change with tobacco types.
I keep on smoking the billiard and it’s past 800 smokes now. It is coloring but the progress is maddeningly slow now.
On the other hand the cigar holders are coloring nicely
I started a Meerschaum coloring experiment a few months ago to see how a cigar holder would color. My hypothesis was it would color more vivid and quickly because of two reasons
1. The carbon cake in the chamber of a pipe hampers in the coloring
2. The amount of tobacco smoked in a cigar is way more than a pipe, so more
tar and other chemicals which will help color faster
The maximum number of cigars I have smoked through one of these is 37. The one I am using today has been only used 11 times but it gets to smoke big fat cigars
The tiny one does not see much use and have been used only 4 times.

Well, it's really dirty, which detracts from its natural beauty. You could wash it by hand in warm water, a dishcloth and mild detergent.@geoffreybeene @lukasstrifeson

I will do that, but this is actually coloring dark. Will do this weekend and see if it makes a difference
Good. Again, a photo just before the wash and light scrub, and then one right after, please!
I took @jpmcwjr advice and gave the pipe a deep clean. I reamed it thoroughly, cleaned the gunk with water and then cleaned it with dish detergent and a scotch brite (Sponge side) three times and dried/polished with a paper towel three times. Today it was overcast but I took photos using daylight coming in from the windows. Exposure reading from the paper and did not any edit. Here are the before pictures

I will take another set after 15 minutes of drying if the light is still there
