Ok, just received today, my first ever order for budget sticks.
I figured why not, look for really inexpensive, hopefully decent smokes. So if possible, I’m on a quest for the best inexpensive budget sticks, as inexpensive as possible…
And given these are quite inexpensive I will certainly do my best to give some input in the Ciagr WAYS when having these and any other inexpensive/budget sticks.
The Charter was $6.40, maybe this is at the upper range of budget stick…The rest were in the upper $3 - $4 range...
Let me say, just looking at these, the construction on all of them looks really nice. I’m quite impressed, just hope they smoke as well as they look. And a budget cigar in a glass tube, also impressive…

I've heard good things about El Rey del Mundo, but haven't tried any yet. They're high on my list.
My favorite budget cigar is the Curly Head Deluxe: they're on my short list of cigars to keep on hand at all times. Other cigars may have better flavor, construction, etc., but the Curly Heads are my cigar comfort food: they never let me down.

The Hornet had been consistently good for me. And I like the slightly smaller (48) ring gauge
I’ve always thought El Rey del Mundo is one of the big older Cuban names. I can’t remember off hand at the moment if I’ve ever smoked anything from them before.
This is the one I bought from Cigars Daily, at $4.91, I was like sign me up. LOL
I also have a Cuban Demi Tasse I bought from TopCubans sitting in a tupperdor...
A tin of Henri Winterman's "Signature" (Cafe Crème renamed, EU regulations grumble grumble), tiddly but popular cigars, and something new to me, a pack of 10 Cohiba Shorts. Brief cigars for someone who seldom smokes cigars! The Cohibas are £30/pack, about $39 at current rates.

I'm sorry to say, yes - or, at least, there was on tins of pipe tobacco last time I was there.

Pure Honduran Corojo, recommended by @pantsBoots I believe. Excited to try these little I don't know whats @ 32 X 5.5. Same gauge as Exquisitos but an inch longer.
Delicate, I cut one with a brand new Craftsmans Bench cutter and it split an inch up. I've got them resting in my 65RH box unless someone who knows what they're talking about tells me to put 'em in the 68RH box
As an aside, I've had great luck (maybe 75% success) if I clip a stick and draw test and it's too tight, into the 65RH box it goes for ?? a few weeks, maybe months. More often than not, this fixes things

I treat those just like Cubans and store them in the low 60s, but that's my preference. Those Santi are my favorite from the line, but like all Panetelas, they must be sipped slowly to avoid them getting harsh. They also appear to age fairly well, though I haven't gotten any to last last a couple years.
Let us know your thoughts! I'm currently checking in on a box of lancero soon and if memory serves, they were already showing a unique bubblegum note I only get from Corojo tobaccos.
Out here in Sunny Humid Hawaii, I use 69% Boveda for New World, and 65% for Cuban, been working out nicely.
Of course I do live in AC, but you can tell there is a lot of humidity inside.
Picked up 3 San Cristobal Revelation Odyssey's and one each: Espinosa 601 Blue Maduro, Punch Diablo, and AJ Fernandez New World Gobernador.

Grabbed an assorted 6 pack based on some recent smokes.
The Aladino classic is an instant classic for me, looking forward to the corojo cazador, same as per the santis above with @benm but in a 46 x 6". Definitely going to stock up on more Aladino stuff later.
AJ Fernandez Bella's Artez based on trying a 'Last Call' recently, see what that blend is all about.
Camacho Ecuador... something different ; I've been meaning to try the criollo or corojo for ages but something about the wrapper on this one intrigued me.
Joya Red and the LGC Wavell will be stocked full time as long as I can keep getting orders down under without interference.. Which means orders of 5 or so gradually but so far so good.

I've been holding off on the cigars a little till I try and fill my humidor up over the next few months via SP.com and their super saver shipping which can take 2-3 weeks. Seems to be working for now as they haven't caught the attention of customs (knock on wood) despite being fully declared!. I've had a couple of cigars over the last month that I haven't posted due to laziness maybe, but I have a bit going on at home at the moment too.
Those cigars were a Joya Red Canonazo and an Aladino classic robusto which I have re-ordered in that bunch. Very much enjoyed both, the Joya Red had an interesting nutty flavor, almost roasted peanut, and smooth on the retrohale; absolutely no peppery tingle at all. Clean finish on the palate, and would be great with some age if I can get some more to put away.
The Aladino classic was just that, classic, approachable, just under medium strength and a great toasty aroma - almost Virginia tobacco-esque. Very much looking forward to that Corojo, and was pleased to see you scored some too coincidently, especially coming as a recommendation from @pantsBoots who's opinion on cigars (especially Havanas vs New world) I enjoy reading in his posts. I think Honduran cigars may be my thing.
Will look forward to posting more, just wish I could get these orders sooner as I'm trying to give sticks as much rest as possible. Also, touching on humidors etc, I'm another one for RH between 58-62%

I love these guys, got some more recently, same size, mine were a bit plugged, but once they got dialed in to my 62rh bovedas (close to 65 in actuality) they became more manageable. Some cigars need lower humidity to bring flavors out others need it for construction sake. Smokes like Warped I find benefit from at most 62rh for both reasons.
