I'm not sure if this will be as good as Breaking Bad! However, thank you for your interest in this living historical document which I am sure will be used by generations of historians in the future.
@mikethompson isn't the suspense killing you? How are you coping? Have you worn a path to the mailbox checking and rechecking it multiple times in a day? I'd be sick with suspense.
Cosmic, I'm not constantly checking the mailbox, but I am going through the very awkward and complicated login process on aliexpress to get updates.
I am using this time to ready my mind, spirit, and body for what will undoubtedly be a transformative experience. That I, a simple schmuck from Ontario, would be able to purchase a hand made artisanal pipe for the price of a morning coffee, well it beggars belief.
What have I done to deserve such an opportunity?
In any event, I'm sure the pipe will be the centerpiece of my collection and will be passed down to my children, and to their children, and so forth anon.

The reason I asked is that rosewood in pipes is not that rare.
Rosewood is notorious as a nasty irritant among luthiers.
I’m going to have bought and received two Chacom pipes from al pascia in Italy in the time it took this pipe-shaped thing to drift its way across the Mariana Trench. But I will concede, there is neither intrigue nor mystery in my acquisitions.

You work alone and without any sponsor at your own expense nevertheless your statements and published documents indicate the high scientific standards (state of the art) you're using backstage. I'm pretty sure, after you finished your great work including various smoking tests series, the pipemaker will gratefully introduce a signature model stamped with your name. If we are lucky this will happen as quickly as your first Asian specimen will reach your door.

Reminds me of going to a head shop back in the day. Whenever you purchased a glass pipe, they would tape a tiny bag of cigarette tobacco to it. Free sample for your new tobacco pipe.
