Cheese In A Bowl: Socially Unacceptable?

If someone presented you a nice piece of cheese, lets say Stilton, and it was in a bowl would you be slightly offended?

I personally would eat the cheese without complaint but internally fixate on the fact that it was served to me in a bowl.

I must be missing something? Why would anyone risk fouling a pipe with a piece of cheese just to present the cheese to someone in the bowl? Sounds absurd to me.

In that case.. Depends on the brand of the pipe. If I see someone putting cheese in Peterson, I might suggest Savinelli or Lee, and take away the Peterson.
