Vegas Baby!!!
Happypiper, I respectfully disagree. I have a cellar and it has already kept me from buying more at inflated prices. We all do what we do.

I'm not sure why it is depressing... I am inspired by folks like Peck who have such a beautiful cellar. I am proud for him. It makes me happy. Then Banjo and his beautiful collection of pipes. It's great!! I am not sure where the depression would come from. If people enjoying and celebrating the fortune of others doesn't make you happy and inspire you, then I would have to wonder why you're here. I'm sorry that people enjoying the rewards of their choices in life makes you upset. Hopefully something here will make you happy. :puffy: Happy smokes!!!

What the thread lacks, IMNHO, N=not, is the effect of aging. A cellar based on current use into eternity does not plan for gradual, or sudden, loss of health and the body's developing intolerance for smoking. That's what happened to me. If I had paid attention 10 years ago to my symptoms I might have been able to cut back then such that I could be smoking now. But I denied them and smoked through them. Thus my cellar was way too big all along and is being sold now.

Why am I here?

Is this www.buyingasmuchtobaccoasyoumightpossiblyeverneedtolastyoutillyourdotage.com?

Didn't you just post a profanity-laden invective against those who carefully smoke..or make tea?

I am here for my own reasons. You are here for yours.

If you can't understand that, I feel sorry for you.

I can understand the desire to have "enough not to run out" and maybe buying 10 tins of an excellent limited edition while still available, but this Pride of Excess is a speciality of hobby-specific fora. I remember reading one thread on a watch forum "The Ten Seiko Divers Every Watch Guy Must Own"

By the way, I was dissapointed that this link isn't active. Will that forum be back up soon?

Happy, why do you care how many watches someone has? I work my ass off for my money, therefore, I can spend it how I will. If I want 15 kilotons of rotted shrimp (Penzance) I can eventually reach that goal.
These kind of conversations always confuse me.
Am I going to be told I have "too many" pipes next?
The slippery slope is greased by judgement and "too many".

Cosmic, your post was a disgrace. It gave me the impression that you are an oik.

I did not comment on it because you are a different person than I.
A few days later I express an opinion an you question my membership.
Grow up.

"It's my money, I can do what I want with it" is a lame answer.
