I remember a lot of controversy with the Elio, and I believe, it still never made it into production. Apparently many folks put down thousands in deposits for one, I hope you were not in that group!I'm wondering... Have any of you been interested in an Elio? I would like to know if I'm the only one here who wanted to buy one.
The 50s/60s era Consuls look pretty cool - love looking at Euro cars of that era!First car was a Ford Consul reg no 723 BPO
Lost count of how many cars I've had.
Most loved were the pre 1970s Jaguars, especially the Mk 2
Now, I'm desperate for for an Austin A35, slow, but so cute.
Trouble is I don't have a garage at the moment, and if I bought one, I fear it would get stolen the first night here in London.
I rode in a friend’s spitfire one time. Man was that thing funFirst car 1966 Pontiac Tempest.
Second Triumph Spitfire. Had a Chrysler LeBaron convertible and a couple of Cadillacs, two Jeep Wranglers. Drive a Mustang now, but my favorite was a 1986 Mercedes 560 SL

it had less than 10,000 miles when I got it. It belonged to an insurance agent. After he got it, he decided it wasn’t fast enough, so he got a Porsche 928. Then he decided his wife wasn’t fast enough, so he got a girlfriend. In divorce court, the judge said, “Either give the Mercedes to your wife or get rid of it.”. He told me if I picked up the note, I could have it. I kept it until about four years ago.
If you put your foot down in a Triumph TR4a, it will pin you to the seat so hard, it's nigh on impossible to take in a breath.I rode in a friend’s spitfire one time. Man was that thing fun
Ha! I know... It was slow, but I've never been in a car that made going slow feel so fast--or so much fun.If you put your foot down in a Triumph TR4a, it will pin you to the seat so hard, it's nigh on impossible to take in a breath.
That is savage acceleration !
I remember 1963, riding in a TR3. It sounded like a bucket of bolts going down the road. Never heard so much rattling in my life!If you put your foot down in a Triumph TR4a, it will pin you to the seat so hard, it's nigh on impossible to take in a breath.
