crpntr: Been there several times. They have some tobacco selection in bulk. No tins. Then some tools, cleaners, etc. Two cases of pipes and a large walk-in cigar humidor. A little sitting area with four-five comfy chairs in the middle of the store. Nothing much, but comfy.
No bar. They do sell good coffee in bulk, but have not noticed them selling it made. Like most tobacconists here, it feels like they are going the cigar route. Darn Texas tax law on pipe tobacco is killing the business around here. But cigars have lower tax.. I guess our dear representatives in Austin like their cigars too much ;-)
I go there for two bulks I can't seem to find anywhere else in Dallas: AC Peterson's Mark Twain and Lane's MV-1000. I can't even recall what they call the Mark Twain, but they sell the MV-1000 as "Mild Virginia". The lady is very, very helpful and will pull out a book to get you the blend name if you ask. They also have a blend called "Diplomat" which is a home mix and is a very nice aro.
Let me know if you need anything in particular. I'm actually swinging by Saturday to pick up some of my favorites and shipping a sample to someone on the forum here. Shipping it to Canton would be easy.
For our get together.. I think we may end up being too rowdy for them. But I'll ask on Saturday, just in case.

EDIT: Oh, and Texan girls are sexy :)

Update: I haven't forgotten about this. I'm just crazy busy, living out of a travel bag and have my daughters wedding in a month, so weekends are packed. I know, not a good excuse unless it involves a pipe somewhere ;-)
That being said, I'm targeting the weekend of March 24th-25th, depending on the weather. Probably for a mid-afternoon get together on Saturday the 24th. Location would be somewhere in the north Dallas area. Lead candidate right now is "the holy grail" beer pub in Plano off Preston Road and 121. It's a bit out of the way, but the pros are that they have some decent food, excellent beer selection and tables outside where they will let us smoke. Some of the tables are also under a covered archway, so if it's not too chilly, any possible rain would not be an issue.
Alternative location is Jorg's Vienna Cafe in downtown Plano on 15th street. There is a back-patio, but it usually non-smoking unless 1) the group is large enough to rent of the entire patio or 2) no-one else is there due to bad weather and they're not serving food outside. But it would be no fun then either.
I am still looking for alternative locations and welcome any suggestions for me to scout out over the next couple of weekends.
Does the date sound reasonable for everyone ?
