You should have been around when McClelland 40th Anniversary first arrived. Gone in a matter of hours.
Your memory is different than mine. 40th was around several months.

Did you like Sansepolcro? I really liked that one. That one is supposed to come out again from what I heard.C&D Carolina Red Flake has been quite good and I think will be great with age. I really like Sun Bear a lot, will buy more when it comes out again.
First wave was gone in a few hours, read the included post. There was https://pipesmagazine.com/forums/threads/mcclelland-40th-anniversary-tobacco.57645/.?Your memory is different than mine. 40th was around several months.
I’m gonna make a special edition VaKyKyWe and call it Toto’s Pleasure. Then another cherry blend with PePeCaCaKyKy and call it No Place Like Home. Also an English crossover called Wicked Witch’s Itch.

I happened to see that when it went live on the site. Then I realized I have to damn much tobacco... I passed on it.
So five years from now I guess I won’t be posting in “What are you smoking” here’s me smoking 2020 XX. ?

This is a terrible blend. Try not buying any more when/if it ever becomes available. It is so bad in fact that I will purchase as much as I can the next available opportunity, simply to help any and all with the dilemma of disappointment.Did you like Sansepolcro? Huh. Dunno, just saw it and bought a few tins when it first became available. Guess timing is everything. Went back and bought more of it later on, and added more when the final shipment of it, which I knew about in advance, showed up. I think I still have about 30 tins of it, so I'm set. It's about as fine a McClelland red Virginia as I've smoked.First wave sold out in about 3-4 hours.

I saw Red Virginia Flake, and my order fingers took over. Ten tins, good Lord, I have problems. :oops:pipesmagazine.com
I bought 10 on the release date and when the second shipment arrived a few weeks later I picked up 20 more. Without specifics, Mike said it may be a good idea to buy it if I liked it in September of that year so I picked up 10 more.Huh. So, you're pretty well set too.?I bought 10 on the release date and when the second shipment arrived a few weeks later I picked up 20 more. Without specifics, Mike said it may be a good idea to buy it if I liked it in September of that year so I picked up 10 more.
Yep. With Mike telling me that plus the discontinuation of 5100, I smelled something was off so I started buying up McClelland blends.?So, you're pretty well set too.?
It's a terrible problem to have, but I can certainly help you with it!?I doubt I’ll ever get to smoke all of my 500 or so Mcclelland tins. They were all bought before anyone had any idea they’d be going out of business. I just happened to think they made some fine blends
