I saw the ad but have no interest in adding any new blends to my cellar. I also have no C&D blends in my cellar. The last thing I want to worry about is moldy tobacco which seems to be an issue for C&D.
Don't have much! @Bowie generously sent me some samples and I'm trying to get into it..
The Carolina red flake gave me novicaine mouth feel.. really odd. The tin note is good though!
I still have Pegasus and VA Gentleman to try.
I adore(d) Hunter S. Thompson. What a character. Him and William S. Burroughs.
They're known for their burley blends... they're also known for their VAs needing at least a year or two age before they taste like anything other than blending or ryo flue cured...Trying Pegasus right now. Honestly not bad at all. ?
Presbyterian.I'm quite interested in the XX Flake with the oriental leaf. I really like the oriental quality of Arango Supreme, but am looking for new blend with less latakia (have many of those already) and more oriental. What one other oriental forward blend would people recommend to get as part of a two tin order? Thanks!
How about a PerKyVaTurKy called Don't Think We're In Kansas Anymore 2020?I’m gonna make a special edition VaKyKyWe and call it Toto’s Pleasure. Then another cherry blend with PePeCaCaKyKy and call it No Place Like Home. Also an English crossover called Wicked Witch’s Itch.
Is this still a problem? I know older tins & certain batches have had mold troubles but I would've hoped they'd have sorted it out by now.I saw the ad but have no interest in adding any new blends to my cellar. That is the funniest one I have seen yet. I want that. Please take my money! How about a PerKyVaTurKy called Don't Think We're In Kansas Anymore 2020?
I think we've come up with a new product line. How about a PerKyVaTurKy called Don't Think We're In Kansas Anymore 2020?
I'm on board with this one, too ... As long as it comes in a can with a sparkly label.Another rebranding of red VA as Ruby Slippers.
all limited editions of course.
You're not at all rare. A few years back, mentions of C&D in fora, when they happened at all, were dismissive. I don't stock much of it myself as most of what I've sampled didn't make the grade. A few I found to be pretty good, and one is a favorite. IMHO, Virginias are not their strength, though they've improved a bit. And they now have less competition when it comes to Virginias, significantly less competition as McClelland is gone, Gawith, etc are in short supply, and HU isn't distributed domestically.I must be super rare.
