There are no bulk blends in Israel, and so far I have not smoked one. There are couple of C&D blends that I like, and there's 20% off in SP.com. How are their bulk tobacco compared with the tinned? Especially OJK and HBS. Thanks!

it doesn't get the love it deserves.
Neither does their Winchester, only sold in bulk. Now there’s a real, where have you been all my life sleeper. Red Virginia and Unsweetened Black Cavendish. Almost a cigar like creaminess and a mild sweetness. No gimmicks here, just a well blended tobacco with real flavor. — to the OP With regard to CD,please don’t consider packaging. The market dictates which blends will sell well in tins. But some of their best gems either haven’t had enough time to become popular or will remain a secret ?.

Haunted Bookshop & Pegasus taste like ? in bulk …I’d stay away. ?☕
I have six pounds of Pegasus in bulk cellared. I’m smoking through pound seven from the bag. It tastes the same as the first 2 ounce tin I purchased. — Actually, for convenience I keep refilling the Tin from the bulk pound.

Whether someone scoops the tobacco into a small can or into a 16 ounce bag it’s all the same stuff.

I ordered 4 oz of Winchester based on your posts recently. I'll probably not smoke it for a few months but I'll get to it eventually

I'm a fan of C&D going back to their North Carolina days. I think their bulk is as good as the tins. I just received my first order of Mountain Camp. Old favorites include Bayou Night, Stratfordshire, Tuggle Hall, Billy Budd, Old Joe Krantz (Elderly Joseph), Dark Burley, Big'n'Burley, to name a few. C&D is to burley, IMHO, what McC used to be to Virginia, elevating it to a premium blend tobacco from a codger blend standard.

For full disclosure, I do notice that some members don't like any C&D blends.

Jeremy at SP has maintained the C&D brand and added to it, sustaining the great burley blends and adding some Virgnia based blends and others.

I agree with Mr. Grangerous: Pegasus is amazing in bulk, though I've never tried an actual tin of it for comparison. Now Haunted Bookshop I've stayed away from because it's nic-strength has been talked about. Pegasus is strong enough as it is, and I gather that HBS is stronger yet.

All this talk, I'm tempted to order up a couple ounces of Mountain Camp and Wincester.

You should agree with Grangerous cause he’s correct as much as it pains me to say. OK…C&D Bulk is awesome & economically beneficial. Fine…now go buy up all the HB, Pegasus, etc. I don’t care.?☕

Bulk or tinned are the same according to SP.Com however, I did enjoy HBS in the tin more than the bulk.
personally I believe there is an improvement that happens when that much tobacco spends that much time together. Honestly I feel like the flavors get married a tiny touch more. I could be imagining things but the funny thing is with nasal snuff the difference is actually dramatic to the point of won't buy much that isn't available in bulk.

I never have an issue with the so called strong blends. The thing is you can always try them in a smaller chamber first.
