I think introducing oxygen through bulk storage or from moving it from one container to another actually retards some aging. That would be if anaerobic aging is way better than aerobic, which I believe to be true.
Ah, forgot about that whole anaerobic thing. True 'nuff.

Ah, good suggestion. I might need to try that since I've got some myself (though not in the same quantity). What do you suggestion for a ratio? I know their bright VA is also good straight. I love smoking the blenders straight because then you really know what plain 'baccy tastes like, and you can confirm whether or not the base product is of good quality. Seems to be the case with C&D (including their Izmir, which is the bomb).
I like a touch of heft so 15-20% of the content will be perique. This is gonna be a straightforward VaPer. No burley, cavendish, oriental, etc. I did a half-assed 50/50 blending of Chatham Manor & McCranies First Light. It’s was good, but likely better on their own. Kinda excited about the ROI on this one. ?☕

If we are (kinda) on the subject, do you know a Va/Per with a lot of red Va.? I saw one by C&D called Red Carpet and one by Two Friends called Redwood. Any thoughts?
