it's a kitchen sink blend but oh it's great.I agree. I had never heard of Mountain Camp before, but it certainly had me intrigued

So kind of like Dr. Pepper, or All Dressed chips? Hahait's a kitchen sink blend but oh it's great.
it's pretty straight forward and consistent too. And to my palate it's an English but with a little more sweet body (not really the right term). I'd say it's kind of rounder. It's a very moreish blend to me at least. It's one of those ones that makes me tempted to burn those last few flakes even though I know that's a bad idea for the pipe.So kind of like Dr. Pepper, or All Dressed chips? Haha
I've never actually had a Scottish blend before, and have limited English experience. What's the primary difference? Ratio's?it's pretty straight forward and consistent too. Well the first fact is that the names mean nothing more then what they mean to the person who puts them on the package. But generally from my understanding seems to be that the biggest difference is the addition of Cavendish and sometimes perique as is the case with Mountain Camp. Basically think English but with a little more added to round out the flavor and add some more subtle dimensions to it. Basically if you like English there is a good chance you'll also like Scottish. Though there even looks like at least one blender considers the addition of scotch to be the key factor . But basically I'd say it's an English but with a additional sweet flavor that isn't a VA type sweetness. I bet putting a splash of rum in an English blend would have a similar effect. A splash as in enough to say somethings different but not enough to say oh I taste rum. I hope that helps.I've never actually had a Scottish blend before, and have limited English experience. I agree with Mr. Grangerous:
I LOVE Pegasus in bulk. It's one or my daily go-to blends.Haunted Bookshop & Pegasus taste like ? in bulk …I’d stay away. ?️
I know sandollars…I’m being facetious. ?️I LOVE Pegasus in bulk. It's one or my daily go-to blends.
I’m surprised that some didn’t pick up on that to be honest.I know sandollars…I’m being facetious. ?️
I agree. I'd add Winchester and Three Friars to that list as well. Simply horrible, best avoided and left on the shelf!Haunted Bookshop & Pegasus taste like ? in bulk …I’d stay away. ?️
Often is, but not necessarily. Depends on age and storage conditions of each. Tins generally store easier and will age quicker than bulk.I have six pounds of Pegasus in bulk cellared. I’m smoking through pound seven from the bag. It tastes the same as the first 2 ounce tin I purchased. — Actually, for convenience I keep refilling the Tin from the bulk pound.
Whether someone scoops the tobacco into a small can or into a 16 ounce bag it’s all the same stuff.
Based on the rec I added it to my list of bulk purchase due to the discount going on right now.it's pretty straight forward and consistent too. Interesting: I would expect the converse, since more oxygen gets introduced when moving from bag to jar, and oxygen (I assume) accelerates the aging process.... Tins generally ... age quicker than bulk.
I love the taste red Va (for me that's the magic of OJK). Do you smoke it on its own or mix it into other blends?Just purchased more bulk from SP.com…
- 3lbs of Haunted Bookshop
- 2lbs of Pegasus
- 1lb of Orion’s Arrow
- 1lb of Crooner
- 8oz of Winchester
- 8oz of Long Cut Perique
- 1lb of Red Virginia ?
Sales are on and it made sense since I’ve been smoking nothing but C&D lately except St. Bruno. Take advantage! ?️

Why does tobacco age quicker in tins?
I ? it on its own. Gotta that earthy, breads sweetness of the ?.I love the taste red Va (for me that's the magic of OJK). Do you smoke it on its own or mix it into other blends?

Ah, good suggestion. I might need to try that since I've got some myself (though not in the same quantity). What do you suggestion for a ratio? I know their bright VA is also good straight. I love smoking the blenders straight because then you really know what plain 'baccy tastes like, and you can confirm whether or not the base product is of good quality. Seems to be the case with C&D (including their Izmir, which is the bomb).I ? it on its own. Gotta that earthy, breads sweetness of the ?.
However, this particular batch that I’ve purchased is gonna be mixed with some of the long cut perique & put back for sometime. ?️
